At Pawsome Canine, your puppy’s health and happiness are our top priorities. That’s why we offer a comprehensive health guarantee, including a replacement provision for specific genetic conditions such as Hip Dysplasia, Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), and Congenital Heart Defects. If any of these covered conditions are diagnosed within the specified timeframe, Pawsome Canine will offer a comparable replacement puppy at no additional cost.

We also offer support for treatment of hip dysplasia diagnosed before your puppy’s third birthday. If surgical intervention is required, Pawsome  will Canine contribute R1000 toward treatment costs.

In rare and unfortunate cases where a life-threatening genetic condition leads to loss within the first year post-adoption, we will provide another puppy of similar breed and value at no charge. Additionally, if minor but treatable health issues are discovered within 42 hours of adoption during a vet check by a licensed veterinarian, we offer reimbursement for those treatable conditions.

Please note that preventive care (such as routine vaccinations, deworming, and follow-up lab testing) is not included in this limited guarantee. We highly recommend prompt vet visits after adoption to ensure your new pup gets off to the healthiest start.

While we do everything possible to reduce the risk of hereditary or congenital conditions, some uncertainties are inevitable. Because of this, we recommend enrolling in pet insurance, like Trupanion, which helps cover hereditary issues and never imposes payout limits—ensuring your pup gets the best possible care when it matters most.

Your puppy will have received all age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming at the time of adoption. You’ll receive a vaccination record for your vet, and we encourage you to continue with the recommended schedule for lifelong protection.

In the unlikely event that a licensed veterinarian determines—within 3 years—that your puppy has a health condition linked to a pre-existing genetic issue (not caused by their new environment), Pawsome Canine will accept the return of the puppy and offer either a replacement or a full refund, based on your preference.
